The Abduction of Polyxena

Here is a marble sculpture by Pio Fedi, located in the Loggia dei Lanzi. It is full of energy, vitality and is highly romantic in its flavour and feel. It depicts the story of Polyxena, the daughter of King Priam of Troy, being abducted as revenge for luring Achilles to his death during the Trojan War.
