Loggia dei Lanzi

Situated in the Piazza della Signoria, here is one of the most beautiful medieval structures in Florence. A wonderful arched gallery, it was originally built in the 14th century in front of the Palazzo Vecchio. The swearing in of important public officials took place here, before it became the world’s first open air public sculpture museum.
